Melody Edwards joined Wood Equipment Company in 1987. Nearly four decades later, her expertise and dedication continue to set the standard for everyone around her.

Thirty nine years is not a number most careers reach anywhere, let alone at one company. It spans changes in ownership structures, product lines, technology, and generations of customers. Through all of it, Melody has been a constant, and the kind of teammate other people measure themselves against.

What Thirty Nine Years Actually Looks Like

Numbers on a plaque do not capture what a tenure like this really means day to day.

It means answering the same kind of question for the thousandth time with the same patience as the first. It means being the person newer team members are told to go find when something does not add up. It means carrying institutional knowledge that never made it into a manual because it lives in experience instead.

Wood Equipment Company has been serving industrial, commercial, and municipal customers for more than 75 years. Careers like Melody’s are the reason that history means something. A company does not earn seven and a half decades of trust through equipment alone. It earns it through people who show up, get it right, and keep showing up.
