Case Study – Berkeley Pond Pump
Last fall, a residential customer approached us with an interesting opportunity: He had purchased a large parcel of land and needed to fill a multi-acre pond for duck hunting from a creek that was well below the level of the pond. The previous owner had used an electric pump and motor for this purpose, but it had fallen into disrepair and needed full replacement. Using the information from the existing pump, motor, and electrical service, we were able to devise an effective solution using a Berkeley end suction centrifugal pump close coupled to a TEFC motor and mounted on a steel base. The owner was able to fill the pond to the required level, and looks forward to many years of successful duck hunting on the property. Let us know if you have a challenging application, and we will work to find a proper solution to fit your needs.
