Like Father, Like Son: A Fall Day With the Crawfords

Some of the best moments at Wood Equipment Company happen nowhere near Wood Equipment Company.

This fall, the father and son Crawfords traded the workweek for a day of long range shooting in the mountains.

A Hobby That Rewards Patience

Long range shooting is a slow game. You read the conditions, make a small adjustment, check the result, and try again. Rushing doesn’t help, and neither does guessing.

Anyone who has ever set a clearance on a pump rebuild knows the feeling. Good work comes from patience, attention to detail, and doing it right the first time. Turns out that holds up on a firing line too.

Still, the best part of the day had nothing to do with the rifles. It was a father and son getting time together, side by side.

Built on People

At Wood Equipment Company, our work is built on more than the products we supply. It is built on the people, relationships, and dedication that make up the heart of this organization.

We have been in the pump business since 1945. Customers may call us for equipment, but they keep calling because of the people who answer. The people here care about the work, and they care about each other. Having a father and son on the same team, and seeing them spend their time off together, says a lot about that.

We are proud of this incredible team every single day.
