Steve Harcum: 5 Year WEC Anniversary
Wood Equipment Company would like to congratulate Steve Harcum for reaching 5 years of service today! Steve is our industrial and municipal territory manager for the Tidewater Region of Virginia.
Born in Roanoke, VA, Steve has spent most of his time between Roanoke and Richmond. He graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) with a Bachelor’s Degree in International Relations, and landed with Wood Equipment after a sales management role with a logistics company.
Steve was a great fit with WEC from the beginning. He was impressed with the company from the first interview, and states that he appreciates the “unique opportunity to work with great people in a challenging position”. He also enjoys the “autonomy, trust and support Wood Equipment offers its employees”.
Steve believes that the most rewarding part of his position is the opportunity to provide solutions: “Whether we’re working with an industrial plant, municipal operators or consulting engineers, working through the many challenges and finding the appropriate solution to get a process, plant or station up and running is always gratifying”. Steve believes that the ultimate compliment is hearing positive feedback about Wood Equipment from engineers, contractors, and end users for our responsiveness, competence, and wing-to-wing project support.
Outside of work, Steve stays busy fishing, hunting, surfing, shooting, playing the drums, and spending time hiking and camping with his amazing wife and his hound dog Woodrow.
Thanks for your continued dedication Steve – we look forward to the next 5 years!!
