WEC Is Headed to WEFTEC 2026
Wood Equipment Company is packing up for New Orleans. WEFTEC, the Water Environment Federation’s Annual Technical Exhibition and Conference, is the largest water quality event in the world, and we will be there September 26 through 30 at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center.

Why WEFTEC Is Worth the Trip
WEFTEC brings together more than 23,000 water professionals from over 100 countries. That is not a marketing number we are repeating for effect. It is the reason the show works. Utility operators, engineers, plant managers, and equipment suppliers all end up in the same building at the same time, which almost never happens anywhere else in this industry.
The exhibition floor alone features more than 950 exhibitors, which means the newest pump technology, the newest treatment innovations, and the newest control systems in the water sector are all walkable in a single afternoon. Add over 125 technical sessions covering everything from frontline operations and compliance to circular economy strategy, and you have a few days that are hard to replicate through a phone call or a product sheet.

Municipal water and wastewater customers face the same pressures no matter where they are located. Tighter regulations on new contaminants. Experienced operators retiring faster than plants can replace them. Infrastructure that is aging out at the same time budgets are getting tighter, not looser.
