Recently Wood Equipment Company organized a demonstration of a trailer-mounted MWI Self-Priming Pump with sound-attenuated enclosure for a municipal customer in western Virginia. At the Virginia Rural Water Association (VRWA) trade show in April, managers of the City’s Water Department had expressed interest in a mobile diesel-driven pump system that could handle various tasks, such as temporary back-up, bypass, or emergency stormwater mitigation. The 6″ pump pictured in the demo is a frequent customer selection due to its portability, easy setup and breakdown, and its ability to self-prime and pass 3” Solids while flowing more than 2,000 gallons per minute.
